A scientific database on moderate beer consumption and health is now online. The database contains the original abstracts from scientific publications mostly published since 2000. The database covers topics such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, body weight, brain and more.

Beer & Health platform
The Beer & Health Database is part of the European Beer & Health platform. A comprehensive overview of the current state of knowledge on moderate beer consumption and health is given in the booklet „Beer and health: Moderate consumption in a healthy lifestyle”.

Scientific Committee
A Scientific Committee composed of seven outstanding experts with expertise in the different branches of alcohol research checked (by sample) whether it covers all existing relevant papers since 2000.

Kennisinstituut Bier
The Dutch Beer Institute (Kennisinstituut Bier) developed and maintains the Beer & Health Database.
